Date to be confirmed. This is expected to be 30 July 2020 (tbc). The annual pilgrimage to Makkah. Hajj is obligatory for all Muslims who can afford it.
Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam.

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Millions and millions of people perform the pilgrimage each year in Makkah.

Muslims must be in state of Ihram, when perform the ritual.

Tawaf - On first day, pilgrims walk around the Kaa'bah 7 times in antic-clockwise direction.

Safa and Marwah - pilgrims next run slowly seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah.

Mina - Pilgrims travel from Makkah to Mina to spend the first night of Hajj in Mina in tents.

Arafat - Next morning the Pilgrims travel to the plain of Arafat, the mountain of Mercy, and praise Allah from from Dawn to Dusk.

Muzdalifah - For second night, Pilgrims stay in Muzdalifah and collect small stones to stone the Devil

Jamarat - Third day of Hajj, Pilgrims use the stones collected to throw at the three pillars called Jamarat to fight against the Devil

Eid-Ul-Adha - at the end of the pilgrimage, Muslims celebrate the festival of Eid. Muslims sacrifice a sheep or goat to symbolise te lamb provided by Allahfor Ibrahim to sacrifice in place if Ismail.
